SUMMARY:
United Jewish Federation of Stamford, New Canaan, and Darien (UJF) seeks an engaging, dynamic, and motivated professional with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our team as Director of Marketing and Communications.

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing, executing, and managing strategic marketing and communication plans that support UJF’s mission, elevating community engagement, and drive fundraising and programmatic success. This includes email marketing, social media, website management, direct mail, event promotion, and market segmentation, as well as overseeing all aspects of public relations, press releases, media responses, community outreach, and crisis communication.

While the Director of Marketing reports to the CEO, they will work closely with the other Senior team members in a fast paced, energetic small office environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with Senior staff on the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, digital, social, print, events)
• Organize and direct a volunteer marketing committee to help shape marketing policy and provide community insights
• Manage UJF’s website to ensure it is engaging, accessible, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational goals and branding
• Execute email marketing strategy and calendar, including newsletters, announcements, and appeals
• Design and manage social media content strategy, scheduling, and engagement across platforms
• Develop lead-generation initiatives to support fundraising and programmatic goals
• Optimize audience and market segmentation to tailor messaging and drive engagement
• Provide marketing support for events, including branding, promotion, and onsite
support
• Create metrics-based dashboards for real-time assessment of marketing and communication processes, to identify opportunities for improvement and to keep management and the Board informed of program status

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field required, advanced degree preferred or equivalent
professional experience
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in marketing
• Experience working with volunteers particularly in the non-profit sector is highly preferred

UJF and the Jewish community, including Israel and World Jewry

COMPENSATION
Commensurate with experience, education, and previous related achievements. The position is full-time, in-person, exempt, and offers a competitive benefits package.
